RE+ 26 offers a variety of educational sessions to accommodate different attendee learning styles and interests. You can find more about each session type here. Your session type will be indicated in your invitation.

Registration, Travel, & Housing
Due to the number of speakers we invite, it is not possible for us to assist with hotel and travel costs. Please email [email protected] if this impacts your ability to participate in the event.
We are pleased to offer speakers a significant discount for a RE+ Full Conference pass at this year’s RE+. The discounted amount covers hard costs for the event, including food & beverage and other operating costs. Due to the number of speakers we invite, it is not possible for us to assist with all registration costs. Please email [email protected] if this impacts your ability to participate in the event.
We are unable to accommodate virtual speakers given the AV needs and unreliability of many factors including streaming and bandwidth to ensure a quality experience for attendees and speakers alike.
We have reserved exclusive low rates at a number of hotels for RE+ attendees. Reservations are on a first-come, first-served basis, and room availability is limited. We encourage speakers to book housing ASAP, if needed, and if you have not already done so. Book housing here. If there are any issues reserving a room, please contact [email protected] for assistance.
All speakers receive a discounted RE+ Full Conference registration rate. This pass is non-transferable to anyone else attending the event. All Full Conference education and Main Stage speakers must have the RE+ Full Conference pass in order to access the concurrent education session room, including the room in which they are speaking.
If you are speaking on a Full Conference session and need access to your booth outside of Expo Hall hours as an Exhibitor, please email [email protected] for further instructions before you register. Our team will work with the primary Exhibitor contact for your company/organization to add the registration option to your exhibitor portal. Registering in this way will allow you access into your education room, as well as entry into the Expo Hall during non-open hours.
Our Sales team would be happy to assist you with this. Please contact [email protected] for more information.

Session Content
- Moderator: leads the content of a panel session, facilitates the discussion during the session and usually does not play an active speaking role. Moderators will prepare questions for panelists and a “run of show.” They are also responsible for compiling and submitting any slides on behalf of the panel or creating any polls in our audience engagement tool that the panel wishes to incorporate into their session.
- Some Show Floor Theater sessions are also panels and include a moderator. Expo Hall moderators will not have access to our Q&A/polling platform but are not required to compile slides for the entire group. RE+ Events will not coordinate a planning call for Moderators of Show Floor Theater sessions.
- Panelist: serves as a speaker on a session, typically 3-5 speakers compose a panel. Generally, responds to questions prepared by the moderator in a more Q&A style session format.
- Table Host: serves as a facilitator during an Energy Exchange session. Energy Exchanges could be based on topic, professional role, or geographic region. Table Hosts’ responsibility includes facilitating the conversation around assigned topic.
- Speaker: serves as a solo or duo speaker, generally a shorter session ranging from 20-30 minutes. Speakers on our Show Floor Theaters or participating in QuickTalk or sessions that are more presentation-style.
We have compiled speaker resources detailing our audience engagement tool, run of show templates, best practices for presentations and more! View and download these tools here.
Additionally, RE+ is pleased to offer several webinars for moderators, and speakers, to prepare for RE+. Please refer to communication from RE+ Events Education for dates and details.
We encourage you to reach out to [email protected] with that feedback. Most titles and session descriptions are a collaboration between the education & content teams at RE+ Events, SEIA and SEPA, and go through a rigorous editing process. Therefore, changes are not guaranteed and any changes will not be immediate.
Moderators of Full Conference panels have an important role in the success of the session. Below lists the moderator expectations, as noted in your Invitation to Moderate.
- Lead part of the planning call with panelists to discuss content and flow of session
- Create a run of show to send to panelists, including loose agenda for session and any identified questions or topics of discussion
- Compile any and all slides from panelists into one deck and submit via speaker portal
- Create any polls or questions asked of the audience in RE+ Events’ polling platform, if desired
- Commit to creating an environment of collaboration and mutual respect during panel conversations and strive to present a balanced perspective on all issues in a professional, constructive manner.
- Note: Some Show Floor Theater sessions are also panels and include a moderator. Expo Hall moderators will not have access to our Q&A/polling platform but are not required to compile slides for the entire group. RE+ Events will not coordinate a planning call for Moderators of Show Floor Theater sessions.
Media
All attendees need to be registered RE+ Full Conference passholders to gain access to session rooms, regardless of how many sessions they are attending.
For information about obtaining a press registration, please visit our Press Room page.
RE+ Events has no policy against photos or videos of sessions taken by attendees. Members of the press are asked to register with RE+. We ask all speakers to sign our speaker agreement in the RE+ speaker portal for video/photo permission. If your organization would like to record the entire session, we ask you to reach out to [email protected].
Some sessions may be recorded by either RE+, or our partners at SEIA and SEPA. Content may either be shared with attendees post-event or for SEIA/SEPA members-only educational purposes.
Session Logistics
Slides are not required for any session type, and we only encourage slides if a visual is helpful to aid the discussion. Energy Exchange sessions will not have the opportunity to utilize slides.
For panel sessions on Full Conference, panelists will decide if they would like to submit slides during their planning call. The moderator will be responsible for compiling all slides into one deck and submitting them on behalf of the panel.
If speakers decide to submit slides, they should submit via their Speaker Portal by Thursday, November 12.
It’s always a good idea to bring your slides on a USB drive as a back-up.
- For Full Conference sessions – to make updates to slides after the deadline, bring updated slides pre-loaded onto a USB drive to the Speaker Ready Room at least two (2) hours prior to your session. Slides submitted by Thursday, November 12 will be loaded into the conference app for attendees to be able to view during the event.
- For Show Floor Theater session slide updates – All slide updates after the upload deadline should be brought directly to the AV Tech in the theater you are presenting in at least 1 hour before your session. Provide the AV tech with the title of your session and the session time.
If your presentation includes videos, please let an RE+ Events Education team member know so we can give our AV team advance notice.
Yes, RE+ Events provides a way for audience members to submit questions digitally from their devices via a QR code displayed on the screen. This is standard for all sessions, across all shows. This allows for more accessibility and inclusivity of audience member engagement and is a time saver for most sessions.
You can find out more about this tool here.
Reach out to [email protected] as soon as possible to confirm the details of your session.
For Full Conference sessions with multiple speakers – our team will begin the process of scheduling one session planning call about six weeks to one month prior to the event. This is when you’ll meet an RE+ Events Education team member, learn about event logistics, and discuss content with your moderator and/or other panelists and speakers. After this call, you’ll be put on an email thread with all other panelists so you all can share any session details and ask any questions to prepare for your session.
Additionally, panelists should plan to attend their invited breakfast/lunch in the Speaker Ready Room to meet with their panel onsite prior to their session.
Due to time constraints, RE+ Events Education team members will only coordinate and participate in one planning call per session. Panels are welcome to schedule a second planning call, should they choose, on their own.
If you have confirmed speaking at an event and have not yet heard from our team regarding scheduling a planning call, please wait until three (3) weeks prior to the event before inquiring about the call. It is likely our team is still firming up session details and will reach out when everything is finalized.
For Show Floor Theater sessions that include multiple speakers – we encourage the speakers to coordinate on their own if desired. Moderators are best fit to engage with speakers in this way.
Our standard AV set-up includes an elevated stage, backdrop with event branding, screen/projector for display, lavalier microphone for each speaker, confidence monitor at the base of the stage, and a speaker timer. This may vary by session type and/or session location. You can find this information detailed in emails you receive prior to the event.
For Full Conference sessions: please bring any updates to slides on a flash drive to the Speaker Ready Room and meet with the AV team there. Please do NOT email the RE+ team slides after the slide deadline. Slides sent via email likely will not make it to the proper location by the time of your session.
For show floor theater sessions: All slide updates after the upload deadline should be brought directly to the AV Tech in the theater you are presenting in at least 1 hour before your session. Provide the AV tech with the title of your session and the session time.
If you are a workshop instructor, be sure and communicate with the organizer of the workshop regarding usage of any slides. As a backup, it is a good idea to bring slides on a USB directly to the session room at least 30 minutes prior to your workshop beginning.

On-Site Information
We have a Speaker Ready Room for speakers to prepare, meet with other speakers/their panel, talk with RE+ Events Education team members, make any edits to slides, and pick up their badge. Only Full Conference speakers may access and use this room.
Full Conference education speakers will receive an invitation to a lunch or breakfast before their panel to engage with the other speakers in their session. RE+ Events is happy to provide speakers with a meal as well as a designated time for panelists to gather to discuss last-minute session logistics. We ask that speakers only attend their assigned meal to allow all speakers the opportunity to enjoy this perk.
Please bring any updates to slides on a flash drive to the Speaker Ready Room and meet with the AV team there. Please do NOT email the RE+ team slides after the slide deadline. Slides sent via email likely will not make it to the proper location by the time of your session.
Speakers may pick up their badge at one of the many registration locations on-site. There is one located just outside of the Speaker Ready Room that is available to all attendees. Badge pick up will not be available in the Speaker Ready Room this year.
