Hydrogen Pathway 2024 Highlights
Hydrogen took center stage with over 20 dedicated sessions and a technical workshop in collaboration with Smart Electric Power Alliance (SEPA). These sessions explored the growing role of hydrogen, covering topics from production and storage to its integration into power grids and heavy industries.
The technical workshop, led by SEPA, provided in-depth insights into the latest advancements and innovations, highlighting hydrogen’s potential to reshape the future of energy systems.

Horizon Hydrogen Grand Prix
Students from four continents and 60 teams made the journey to take part in an ‘endurance race’ which tests student-built hydrogen-powered cars that can complete the most laps in six hours. There were two stock races and one hybrid race throughout the week at RE+ 24. HF Bulgaria took the win for the stock race and Oakwood Pink from the USA took the win for the hybrid race!
Hydrogen-powered Vehicle Exhibition
The outdoor exhibition showcased cutting-edge hydrogen-powered vehicles from leading companies like Hyzon, Honda, and Nikola. Attendees experienced how hydrogen technology is transforming the transportation sector, with vehicles ranging from heavy-duty trucks to passenger cars. These innovative models highlighted the potential of hydrogen fuel cells in reducing emissions and driving the future of clean mobility.
